Nope, sorry. The charger and controller and all wired together and there's no way to select the flashing pattern (or no flashing).

If you're geeky, or have a friend that's an electronics experimenter, you could look at the dropping resistors on the controller board and hard wire those between the light string and a 6 volt DC power source. That might work.

If you get the string to run steadily, I'd be curious to hear about the specifics of what you did. Good luck!

Hi Mike--
Your tips are great and very helpful--thanks! I like the idea of the little lights but wonder if you can stop them from blinking.

Hey Mike! Just surfin the web to research jott a little and I ran across your blog. I saw you were trying to blog via jott and were having troubles. WELL...it IS possible. I'm not sure how this guy did it...but he did! Check this website out, http://res.realestateshows.com/jott/, this guy has been experimenting with jott and blogs and seems to be successful!

It's awesome you are finding Jott a useful tool in life. Me as a musician, I use it to remember guitar riffs! I'm such a forgetful person and when I have a awesome idea for a song...I forget it when I get home!

Anywho, good to see jotters out there!

That post was the intersection of the news of Virginia Tech; the activity of me paring down my art book collection; and reflecting on the additional pain brought on by the <a href="http://www.selfreliantfilm.com/?p=247" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">the pornography of the real</a>.

I was going to write a few paragraphs, but I decided to simply document how I was feeling with a few words, images, and music. It may resonate with you or different multimedia may tell your story. Please feel free to share.

Comment on I’ve dumped SuSE Linux by Mike

SuSE is a linux distribution sold by Novell. SuSE does NOT equal linux.

There are a few developers who work for Novell, so I suppose I am "turning my back" on them. But the bulk of linux developers don't work for Novell, and (usually) aren't paid for their efforts.

I support the non-Novell developers. I still use linux. I still like linux. I still advocate for linux, and whenever possible I support linux financially.

I think SuSE made a huge mistake by getting involved with Microsoft. I will not buy a linux distribution from a company which has shown such poor judgment in doing business.

Oh great,
Yet another person why rather turns his back to all those SUSE developers and communities because some big company people might not play nice. I thought it was about SUSE, not about CEOs and marketing tricks.
